<<For years I wanted to avoid the disposable stuff from Mediamarkt. Finally I found at Link Audio what I was looking for : super quality hifi, in particular the Cubes : beautiful small speakers with an amazing playback quality.
My music collection has never sounded better.

Thanks Wim!

What an incredible experience from all points of view! I called Wim in the morning, and he was flexible enough to plan a listening session for the same day. He paid extreme attention to all our needs and questions. His expertise is undeniable, and he patiently shared it with us. One can see that he is super passionate, and his passion also rubbed on us 😊. The listening experience was the best we ever had: many details in the sound we could now hear combined with the emotions transmitted by the music with such ease. We were immediately hooked, and we went with the suggested components. Everything was delivered fast and in perfect conditions, and Wim went the extra mile with the support for the installation. We are now enjoying at-home quality music and are pleasantly surprised to see that our music appetite has increased and that we now ‘taste’ and appreciate more different genres than before.

Highly recommended!

Although I have been following Link Audio's designs for years, it was only recently that I took the step to have a listening session with Wim Vanderstraeten. I had decided to replace a pair of much too large closed column speakers with small closed speakers. I like to hear the deepest low in music and this type of speaker allows for a perfect transition to a closed subwoofer.
Before visiting Wim, I had gone to listen to several other speakers. The Cube was one of the last candidates on my shortlist. In the end I did not go and listen to those other speakers. We hadn't gotten very far into the music Wim had put in front of me, when it was immediately clear to me that I wanted to go home with a pair of Cubes. What a sound!
In the meantime I have listened to them extensively at home. I am gradually rediscovering my own music collection. What strikes me is that you do not hear the Cubes, only the music. Unlike other speakers, the sound is not coming from two cabinets. I am now listening to the music for the first time. It does indeed seem to arise between the speakers. It only became clear to me how much a speaker adds its own sound to the music when, out of curiosity, I listened to my old speakers. What a difference and actually no longer to listen to, now that I am used to a different and better sound.
Besides the neutral sound of the Cubes, the bass reproduction was the decisive factor for me. This is just very good. I am impressed not only by the quality of the bass (very tight and without coloration), but also how low it reaches for such a small speaker. With the Cubes, you only hear the bass that is in the recording, so as it should be. This makes integration with a good sub a lot easier and more precise. To be honest, for music with these speakers you don't need a subwoofer yourself, unless you want to hear the deepest bass.So I am very satisfied with this new acquisition and not only with the sound, but also with the timeless design and the high level of finish of these Cubes.
For me they are top speakers and in comparison to other brands just a no-brainer.
Thanks Wim for the good reception, the pleasant listening session and the interesting conversation about music, technology, acoustics and the many persistent myths that unfortunately still circulate about hifi.

After a listening session with Wim Vanderstraeten I have already purchased a Cambridge StreamMagic 6 V2 and LINK cabling. Because I am very enthusiastic about these audio components advised by Wim, I went to visit him again in Rotselaar. This time to, after the necessary exploratory emails about possible options, experience through a listening session what else is possible in the field of audio. During this demo I listened extensively to sources and amplifiers selected by Wim in different price ranges: From Cambridge CXA-80, via Cambridge 851 series up to and including Devialet 200. During this I was treated by Wim to all kinds of music excerpts, which made the mutual differences very clear to me: Very enlightening!

The constant component here was the LINK Cube2 loudspeaker. Right from the start, this speaker turned out to be THE surprise of the day. When listening to the cheapest price range control, it was immediately detailed, sparkling and spacious. But when listening to the increasingly more expensive price classes, the real surprise came! These small speakers continued to improve to something you would think impossible given their size, even when the volume knob was turned up a bit more: Unprecedented control and power! Not just in the mids and highs, but also in the lows! With such a punch that I wondered if I could put my subwoofer on the market with pain in my heart.

Unfortunately, there was no more time or energy to listen to the K100s. I can hardly imagine that these can be substantially better ... But LINK and Wim keep surprising you is my experience. A good reason for another visit!

The LINK Cubes were placed on 80 cm high stands, coupled to my Uunison Research simply italy classe A 2x 12 watt tube amplifier, with a pair of supra ply 3.4 speaker cables.

The sound reproduction was very clear and homogeneous, however, it tended to be a bit flat and a flat whole. After about fifteen minutes Wim replaced the interconnect cable between my CD player and the amplifier with his LINK Velox cable, and the Supra speaker cable was replaced with the LINK Vortex speaker cable. And then.

" The beautiful wax figures of Madame Tussaud really came to life".
There was clearly more dynamics in the whole. The previously sharp edges of the highs were reduced to a pleasant timbre and the lows were set with authority.
Percussion was rendered true to life. I got chills on the way "Electric Ladyland" by Jimi Hendrikx popped through the speakers, then "Smoke on the water" by Deep Purple, etc.. This "elevator display" was unprecedented, at least for me.
Musical emotion is in the right place here! Moreover, packaged in a beautiful design, these Cubes are real gadgets!

A few months ago I came to Wim to have a speaker repaired, a friendly man who asked if I would like to come along and listen to his speakers.

No, I didn't think this was possible.... I felt the breath of Diana Krall, the trembling of Brubeck's reeds, I saw Ibrahim Mahlouf playing in front of me. I could hardly believe that such compact speakers have such a realistic reproduction.

You don't hear speakers, only music.

It didn't let me go and a while later I went to get the Cubes.

They continue to amaze me...to such an extent even that although in recent years I've been listening mostly to jazz, I'm now relistening to my entire collection of classical CDs.

A real pleasure !

I am a complete layman when it comes to music

And yet I notice that the Cubes sound different from all the other boxes.

With the eyes closed it seems as if the musicians are playing in front of you, everything just sounds super clear.

I can now also hear things in a song that I had never heard before.

It's even so that I now find the sound from other boxes, e.g. in a pub, really bad - something I never thought about before!

After purchasing the Link Cubes, the first step was to relisten to our entire music collection.
The speakers invite you to re-evaluate everything you thought you knew about music.

The layering and detail, and the honesty of the sound that emerges from the Link Cubes provides an experience we had never experienced before.
It all depends on the recording itself of course, because the Link speakers reproduce everything in an honest and pure way, so some records may disappoint if their recording quality is disappointing.

Other records unfold like a flower that blossoms open and shows a beauty that was previously "secret".

You sometimes feel so close that it feels like you are in the studio during the recording and your ears are the microphone itself in which is played or sung. An experience you previously thought was only possible through headphones.

It can be compared to switching from black and white television to color. Listening to music with the Cubes has also expanded our range of music. The speakers also bring about a shift in music taste and style by allowing you to listen to music in a different, much deeper and more intense way.

We are now going to continue to browse the music collection.

Listening to the Link Cubes, I was bowled over by the layering that these speakers have within them.
Depth, perspective, clarity, it's all there! And not fuzzed up, but transparent, pure in all regions, even without a sub cabinet extra.

You imagine yourself, depending on the genre of music, in a privileged place in the studio or in the live room.

Killer though for bad recordings or inferior performances, you hear it all.

But a gift to enjoy sublime recordings. I feel like just listening to music again.

Wondering how my own music sounds on this....

"With Link, Music once again becomes ecstasy, consolation, chaos, despair, bliss, catharsis, silence and so inexpressibly so much more .
In no years, or perhaps never, have I been so moved and so over the moon, when listening to music. Moreover, the LINK philosophy is in perfect harmony with the flawless sounds!
Thanks Wim for your inspiring approach. I will spread the word.

"Musique (re)devient ecstasy, désespérance, consolation, purification, béatitude, pureté, silence ... l'ineffable.
Depuis une éternité je n'ai plus été si émue en écoutant de la musique.
En outre la philosophie LINK est en parfaite harmonie avec la sonorité extrêmement pure et équilibrée.
Merci Wim pour ton approche enthousiasmante, inspirée et visionnaire.
Qu'on se le dise !

I was very surprised to hear, for an affordable budget, an installation that reproduces the music so faithfully that it literally caressed my ears.

I know what instruments sound like and know that the bridge to reproducing a recording is not without obstacles, but here I have heard something that belongs on my wish list.

I would use these speakers for acoustic Jazz and classical music in general -and of course many other styles- this speaker is exceptionally good. Delightful even!

My 'vintage' stuff will have to go, I'm afraid.

After several years of suboptimal hifi purchases, I finally ended up at Wim's via a defective vintage Sansui.  As a lover of old guitars and lamp amplifiers I was convinced that vintage hifi had to sound so much better than those modern sterile devices.  When Wim briefly let me listen to an entry-level Cambridge audio set with the Link Cubes, I was already bowled over by the sound.  Totally different from what I was used to, a lot of detail and a beautiful stereo image.  It spontaneously reminded me of my active studio monitors by Dynaudio (BM6A) in my former home studio.  Several months later I myself am the owner of a 'modern sterile' hi-fi amplifier and the Link Cube 2s.  Interim conclusion after about 3 weeks: listening to background music is almost impossible with the Cubes.  Your attention is constantly drawn to specific choices in the production and subtle riffs that I had not noticed before.  In the middle of a conversation I catch myself not listening anymore, but my attention drifts to the reverb tail of the snare in track X or that one subtle guitar that I would have panned just a bit more to the left, etc.  In the audiophile (terrible word I think) world it is mainly classical music or jazz lovers who wax lyrical about the 'recording' or 'interplay', but also for lovers of more alternative music the cubes are an absolute must.  Listen to Radiohead (The Bends) with a decent system and a set of Cubes and you'll understand how groundbreaking this album was (and is!) both musically and production-wise.
